As we all know, solar panels are currently on the come up and this doesn't look like changing. A price decrease has seen more investment in solar meaning more progress has been made technologically, resulting in better solar panels at a better price. With Solar PV you get excellent renewable energy which helps both the environment and your bank account.
Our PPA agreement - which is explained in an earlier blog post from us - helps to reduce the cost of solar, basically, you don't pay for the panels you pay for the energy they produce, and any unused energy produced is sold back to the grid. This on average will save you between 15% to 20% on your energy bills and effectively avoids the often more costly price of purchasing solar panels outright.
For further proof of the possible savings with solar, we used our panels on our warehouse and per year we have:
Avoided 75,781 tonnes of carbon (20,000 trees worth of stored carbon)
Produced 232,000 kWh of energy (£40,000 worth of energy - the average medium sized business will only use 25,000 to 50,000 kWh of energy per year)
